Test and live mode
Every Reeds account has a Test mode and a Live mode. Test mode is on from the moment you sign up, so you can build your integration before anything is approved.
One host, two modes
There is a single base URL for both modes:

The credentials you use decide the mode. A token issued to rci_test_ credentials works in Test mode, and a token issued to rci_live_ credentials works in Live mode. To go live, you change your credentials and nothing else.
Every object the API returns carries a livemode field, true or false, so you can always tell which mode created it.
The Test / Live switch
The header of the dashboard has a Test / Live switch. Everything is kept separately per mode:
- deliveries, addresses and quotes
- the wallet (the test wallet starts at ₦100,000)
- client credentials
- webhook endpoints and their signing secrets
A webhook endpoint you save in Test mode does not receive live events, and the other way round.
How Test mode behaves
Test mode uses the real geocoder and price rules, but test deliveries never reach Reeds' riders or hubs, and no SMS is sent. You move them through their statuses yourself. Sandbox has the details.
Keep your test and live credentials in separate environment variables, and load the live ones only in production. That way a test build can never book a real delivery.
