RATE_LIMITED

When it happens

The client went over its rate limit, or the account has used today’s allowance for address lookups and pricing (saving and confirming addresses, fresh quotes, creating deliveries). The response carries Retry-After; for the daily allowance it counts down to midnight, Lagos time, and the message says so.

How to fix it

1. Wait for the Retry-After seconds, then retry with the same key.
2. Watch X-RateLimit-Remaining, and cache quotes and tokens.
3. Reuse quotes and saved addresses: they don’t count towards the daily allowance.
4. If your volume needs more, contact Reeds support with your client id and the volume you expect.
